Q&A

Can I bring a friend/date?

As much as we’d love to meet your fabulous plus-one, we’re keeping this event intimate with just our closest friends and family. We promise there will be plenty of great company to enjoy, so come solo and get ready to mingle!

IS THIS A CHILD-FRIENDLY EVENT?

We love your little ones! However, we’ve decided to make this an adults-only celebration. Think of it as a night out with great company, good food, and maybe a dance move or two that we’d rather not have documented by your kiddos. So, book that babysitter and enjoy the party!

CAN I TAKE PICTURES DURING THE CEREMONY?

We are having an unplugged ceremony, meaning that once the ceremony begins, we ask that all phones be put away and silenced. We want everyone to be fully present with us and for our photographer to be able to capture the best pictures which we will share with you. Once the ceremony is over feel free to take as many pictures as you'd like and don't forget to share them with us!

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors while the reception will be indoors. We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day! Dress to impress in your best formal cocktail attire :) Please no jeans/denim & avoid shades of white!

What is the weather like in Buena Vista in June? How should I prepare for the altitude in Buena Vista?

June in Buena Vista typically brings warm days with temperatures ranging from 70-80°F (21-27°C) and cooler evenings that can drop to around 40-50°F (4-10°C). The weather can be quite sunny, but it’s wise to be prepared for occasional rain showers. Buena Vista is at a high elevation, so it’s important to stay hydrated and take it easy, especially if you’re not used to the altitude. If you’re prone to altitude sickness, consider packing remedies like ginger candies or altitude sickness medication. Taking time to acclimate and drinking plenty of water can help.

What optional activities are planned around the wedding? What should I pack for the optional outdoor activities?

Get ready for an awesome weekend of extra fun at our June wedding in Buena Vista, Colorado! We're kicking things off with a welcome dinner in town before the big day. Then, the morning after, join us for a chill riverside walk. And for those craving excitement, we've got white water rafting on the Arkansas River! Finally, wrap it all up with a laid-back farewell brunch in the park. For all the details and to RSVP, hop over to the Activities page on our website. For the white water rafting trip, pack swimwear, water shoes or sandals, a quick-dry towel, and a change of clothes. Sunscreen and a waterproof phone case are also recommended. For other outdoor activities, comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, and a hat are recommended. Remember to bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day. See you there!
